  • S 1940 / HR 2210 - Head Start Improvements for School Readiness Act
    Sen. Judd Gregg (R-NH) &
    Rep. Michael N. Castle (D-DE)
    This act reauthorizes the Head Start program through 2008.   It sets standards for educational instruction and coordination with state programs and mandates the inclusion of homeless children and faith-based organizations.   It also requires certain impact studies, evaluations and other research.
